Realizing the growing sphere of Telecommunication, Satellite Communication and Mobile Communication industry in Indian economy, opening up new and abundant opportunities for the new entrants, management of SIMS has started the B.E. course in Electronics and Communication.
The Department has well qualified faculty having excellent experience and qualifications contributing to the development of students and department as a whole. The Department also has trained technical supporting staff in the labs that compliments the efforts of the faculty. |

| Maintaining the vibrant pace with which Indian economy is growing, clocking an annual average growth of 8.5% for the last 5 years, is possible only by making substantial investments in infrastructure industry. A categorical commitment has been made by the Government of India. We can see construction activities going on all around.
Boom in housing sector is no secret. Every year approx. Rs.60,000 crores is being invested in the development of various infrastructure facilities like roads, dams, airports, habitation units, slum developmental works, drinking water supply lines, super corridors, flyovers, railway lines, docks and yards etc. Unfortunately, availability of qualified civil engineers has not kept pace with the expansion of the industry hence industry is already facing shortage of required number of engineers and this condition is likely to prevail in the next decade.
During the years gone by, the average increase in the salary of civil engineers has been 20 to 30 % at the junior level itself. Those who are already in profession have seen a tremendous growth in their careers. We have not only engaged well experienced faculty to conduct this program, but we have also created state of art laboratories under the able guidance of Shri Pankaj Agarwal, the internationally renowned 'Vastuvid'.

| Computers have virtually influenced every aspect of human life. The productivity per man hour has increased multifold. This has led to a very high speed of innovation in the computer industry. Machines are becoming smaller, faster and cheaper by every passing day. Dr. Abdul Kalam has said that next decade is going to be that of computers.
Production of computers and accessories is still to grow at a very fast pace in India. The character of the industry is such that it creates a large number of opportunities for self-employment also. While creating state-of-art computer labs for computer engineering department, we have worked on the learning process in a way that it will make the students innovative and enterprising, with a thorough understanding of the hardware and software technology.

| It is one of the core branches of engineering that has always remained in vogue and will continue to do so. This is why Mechanical Engineering is popularly known as the evergreen branch. As the industrial sector has drastically expanded, the need for more mechanical engineers has increased exponentially.
It has tremendous scope in automobile engineering, cement industry, steel, power sector, hydraulics, manufacturing plants, drilling & mining industry, petrolium, aeronautical, biotechnology and many more. Mechanical engineers work in the automotive, aerospace, chemical, computer, communication, paper and power generation industries. The department comprises qualified & experienced faculty members and skilled & trained technical staff. The department consists of well-equipped laboratories and workshop containing modern machines like lathe, drill, and shaper and milling machines. |

| Longer shelf life of fruits, Low fat vegetable oils, Rice enriched with beta carotene and iron, Bananas with edible hepatitis vaccine, Insulin, Interferon, Interleukin, Beta endorphin are the major breakthrough in Biotechnology. This field of science in true sence proves its presence by improving crop yield, medical advances, enhanced environment and meeting the energy need of society. Although Biotechnology is still in its nascent stage in India, thus the demand for hardcore Biotechnologists is very high.
An estimated number of graduates, post graduates and PhDs in the country are 30 lac, 70 thousand and 1500 respectively. This number is very less in comparison to demand. This gives us an inspiration to start post graduation program in Biotechnology which will be ended to research. We at SIMS with world class infrastructure, state of art laboratory and well exposed faculties are surely able to run the program successfully. |
