RULES AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES FOR ADMISSION IN GRADUATE AND POST GRADUATE COURSES OF GOVERMENT AND PRIVATE COLLEGES IN MADHYA PRADESH FOR SESSION 2016-2017
These guiding principles will be applicable to all government and private (aided and unaided ) colleges of Madhya Pradesh, and will be read and implemented with the provisions of order No. 6 and 7 of Madhya Pradesh university Act 1973. The principals will have to ensure the implementation of these rules in their respective colleges. The courses in which other rules/orders/sub rules are mentioned regarding eligibility of admission, for example B.C.I, these rules will not be applicable.
There will be a centralised online admission system for the admission in first semester of graduate and post graduate courses in session 2016-17 conducted by government and private colleges of the department of higher education of the state. In online admission system, the applicant must get himself registered online first. To get registered is mandatory for each and every student who wants to get admitted in graduate or post graduate courses.
Even the students with supplementary in class 12th examination, will have to get registered compulsorily for getting provisional admission. These students will be given admission if seats remain vacant in final/last phase.
For admission in graduate courses, during the process of registration, choosing his or her subject group ( Maths/ biology/ Agriculture/ Commerce/Arts/ Home science), the applicant will have to choose the name of the colleges also in which he/she wants to get admission.
For admission at graduation level, applicant can choose subject groups and colleges from 21 May to 20 June 2016, while at the post graduation level, applicant can choose colleges and subjects from 01 June to 24 June. After the above mentioned date, no applicant will be allowed to get registered on line. Applicant must get registered only once. In the case of more than one registration, only first registration will be considered as valid. After getting registered, applicant must check all the entries by using print out and must make corrections in the entries if required. No changes will be allowed after verification. Applicant will be solely responsible for all the entries made in the process of registration. Applicant can get his or her registration on portal from anywhere using internet. Help centres are established at all the government colleges to facilitate and help the students in the process of registration.

2.1 Verification of documents of online registered applicants
2.1.1 For graduation level (21 May to 21 June 2016): After online registration, applicant must get his or her documents (mark sheet of qualifying examination, age certificate, caste certificate, samvarg certificate, OBC certificate, certificate of not included in creamy layer, domicile certificate, N.S.S/N.C.C, sports, cultural activities certificate et.c) verified, on the basis of which fee for admission will be paid. After getting registered, it is compulsory for the applicant or his/her guardian to get related document verified at any government college.
Registered applicant must be present in help centre established at any nearest Government College with the original certificates mentioned in application, and one set of their photocopies with one copy of registration letter. Verification of document will only be done at specified help centres on the basis of these certificates. Incharge of the help centre will have two copies of verification letter on which he will take signature of the applicant. One copy will be given to applicant and other copy will be kept at help centre as record. After being satisfied with the verification, the applicant will sign the verification letter.
The process of verification from 21 May to 21 June 2016 (till 5.00 P.M ) will be conducted by the help centres. Only those applicants who are registered and completed the process of verification within the specified period, will be allotted colleges on the basis of merit.
2.1.3 Only those applicants will be considered eligible for the admission in the colleges, who have completed the process of registration and verification before the last date.
